John Mateyko APMA®, WMCP™, RICP® is a Fiduciary Financial Planner & Managing Partner at IDEX Financial. As seen in Forbes, Fortune, MarketWatch, Business Insider, TED, NY Weekly, CEO Weekly, LA Wire, Chicago Journal, San Francisco Post, and BuzzFeed.

With his roots in Augustana College where he graduated in 1998, John Mateyko embarked on a successful financial career starting with Dean Witter in New York City the following year. His financial acumen has been instrumental to leading finance firms like Atlas Securities, US Bancorp, Chase, and Fifth Third Securities.

In 2010, he founded IDEX Financial, based in the renowned Zurich Towers in Schaumburg, IL. The company saw remarkable growth in 2018 when it extended its reach to Atlanta, Georgia, by taking over a financial planning practice.

John is presently advancing his professional development by pursuing the CIMA certification at the esteemed Yale School of Management. He also possesses the RICP® and the WMCP™ from the American College of Financial Planning, and the APMA® from the College For Financial Planning.

John lives in the charming and rustic community of Serenbe in Georgia, which has featured on the Today Show. In 2021, he founded the Serenbe Athletic Association and oversees the co-ed leagues of Chicago-style Softball and Kickball as the Commissioner. He has previous experience coaching youth sports in Schiller Park, IL from 2008-2013, and in Serenbe during 2020-2021.

An ardent art enthusiast, John had the honor of being Christian Bale’s intermittent stand-in on the sets of Batman Begins (2005) and Public Enemies (2009). His love for theatre inspired him to establish the SMZ Community Theater Group, a fund-raising venture for Acton Academy in Serenbe, which has raised $451,000 to date. He produced and directed The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge (2021) under this banner and is planning for It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (scheduled for Dec 2023).

John proposed to his wife Slavyana in the picturesque backdrop of Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. Their journey continued with a honeymoon in the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, followed by a baby-moon in Rome and Lake Como. Their son Sasha now spends his summers at the TASIS camp in Lugano, Switzerland.

John enjoys the outdoors. He has scuba dived in diverse locations like the Philippines, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Italy, Portugal, and the Georgia Aquarium's whale shark exhibit. His adventurous feat includes winning the Midwinters San Francisco Bay Race as a crew member on the Beneteau 50, and biking down the Haleakala volcano in Maui.
